I was a flight medic in the 57th late 73-76. Went to the 2nd Flight Platoon, 498th at Ft. Benning in 76-77 then to the 3rd Flight Platoon, 498th at Ft. Jackson 76-79. In 1979 I went to flight school. Stayed in the service until 2004. My last and only assignment in a Medivac unit as a pilot was Flatiron Crash Rescue at Rucker where I retired. Saw Paul Cave there in 2002. He was still flying as an instructor. Spoke with Tom Salat couple of years back. The 57th was a fantastic part of my life. Hope life finds you well,

Jerry, thanks for checking in. Glad to know you became a pilot and made a nice career in the service. I didn’t know Paul and Tom made it a career.
